Mikinakoos Children's Fund Welcomes New Executive Director!

Thunder Bay, ON - Mikinakoos Children's Fund staff and Board of Directors are thrilled to welcome its new Executive Director Stephanie Paxton. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Stephanie brings a wealth of professional fundraising and leadership experience, and is excited to be joining this incredible team! 

 

“I am thrilled to be taking on this new and exciting role at Mikinakoos Children's Fund,” says Stephanie. “Ensuring the health and wellness of children in remote communities is so important, and I can think of no better calling in life than to support the well-being of children in need.”

 

Stephanie brings nearly 20 years of fundraising experience to Mikinakoos Children's Fund, ranging from healthcare, education, the arts, and social services. She also brings many years of leadership experience through the various professional organizations and volunteer committees she serves on, notably as President of the Lakehead Fundraising Association.

 

In Stephanie's former role at George Jeffrey Children's Foundation, she was a valued member of the fundraising team, and worked on many successful fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning initiatives. She is grateful for her time at the Foundation, and for the many meaningful relationships she developed in her time there.
